Julie is an American world traveler who loves “nice things” but has a surprising preference for experiences and adventures off the beaten path. She’s spent the last five years living and working in Asia & Latin America, enjoying the fruits of expatriate tax rules, and miraculously keeping a normal body weight. A lady and a scholar with a couple of degrees, she is amused by the fact that she was smart enough to earn an Ivy League Master’s degree (but was stupid enough to pay for it). She’s recently discovered an ability to make others laugh with her, not at her, and she’s milking it for all it’s worth! She’s hesitant to limit her solo travel & humor blog to just one area of expertise when she considers herself fairly experienced with topics such as destination-specific activities & recommendations that you should not miss; travel tips, budgeting & great deals on travel; short and extended stay travel; foreign languages & communication abroad; eating like a queen while spending like a local; tech toys, cameras worth packing, and envy-inducing travel photography; and most important of all, how to pick up gorgeous men in any location.

When not sharing content, traveling, or any of those cool things listed above, Julie is busy reading some good chick lit or a travel memoir, dabbling in drawing or painting, teasing her travel agent mother with an outstanding Bavarian accent, and trolling Buzzfeed and hilarious Instagram accounts.
